PIANO TUNING WITH JOY SINCE 1988

My background

I studied in Arlainstituutti to become a piano tuner, and after having finished the three year long school program in 1988 I passed the examination to become a member of the piano tuners’ association in Finland. After that I studied under instruction of concert technician Matti Kyllönen and Klavierbaumeister Bernhard Farenholtz to mention a few.

I studied further abroad at the Bechstein factory in Berlin (1992) and at the Yamaha Piano Technical Academy in Hamamatsu, Japan (Grand Piano Basic Course 1993 and Grand Piano Master Course 1999).

I have participated in several of our association’s seminars, and international conventions such as Europiano Conventions, Nordic Piano Conventions and PTG Regional Convention (USA). In addition to those I have seeked for more knowledge, skills and inspiration privately from colleagues in Finland and abroad. I have acted as a mentor, and given classes in a few piano technician conventions here and abroad.

I strive constantly to improve my skills in order to be able to serve my customers in the best possible way.
